I have been skiing since the age of three and ski racing from the age of five. I am a member of Hemel Hempstead Ski Race Club where I have competed over the years in numerous regional and national ski racing competitions on artificial ski surfaces including indoor snow centres and have achieved great podium success within my respective age group.
Highlights this year include winning the U14 British Indoor Ski Championships for the second year running, winning the U14 Hemel Ski Race Club Championships where I was awarded the 2009 Sponsorship with Snow & Rock, 1st Placed U14 at the Snowsport England Milton Keynes Grand Prix and 1st placed U14 at the European Indoor qualifying ski race at Chill Factore in Manchester.
On snow, I am a member of Team Slalom Plus Ski Race team where I am coached by Chantelle Goddard – Jones. As a member of Team Slalom Plus, I have competed in numerous ski championships in France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
My best results on snow this year were in April 2009 when I competed at the British Land Children’s Ski Race Championships in Meribel, France taking part in Super Giant Slalom,
Giant Slalom and Slalom disciplines. I podiumed in two out of the three disciplines in Meribel and my overall result placed me in 3rd position in the U14 age category.
Due to my ski race results in Meribel, I was selected to the Great Britain Children’s Ski Race Team for 2009-10 and I will be representing the country in Ordino- Arcalis, Andorra in January 2010 at the Trofeu Borrufa International Children’s Ski Race Championships.
In March 2010, I was selected to a five man ski race team by ESSKIA to represent Mount Grace School, Potters Bar on the England School’s Ski Racing Team at the World School’s ski race championships in Folgaria, Italy.
In July 2010 I was very pleased to hear that I have been selected to the Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme for 2010 - 11.
